How it works

Wall area is the total wall length times height; multiply by the number of coats, then divide by a gallon's coverage (about 350 sq ft).

Example

35 ft of wall at 10 ft high, 2 coats, needs about 2 gallons.

Frequently asked questions

Should I subtract doors and windows?
For a rough estimate you don't need to — the extra covers touch-ups. For big openings, subtract their area from the wall total.
