How it works
Each step is a box that gets taller toward the top; we add them all up:
Volume = Width × run × rise × (n × (n+1) ÷ 2)
Example
3 steps, 4 ft wide, 7 in rise and 11 in run use about 12.8 cubic feet (~21 × 80-lb bags).
