What it does – The Cinder Block Estimator takes the length and height of a wall (in feet) and the dimensions of a cinder‑block unit (in inches) to tell you how many blocks you’ll need and the total wall area.
How to use it – Enter the wall length and height, confirm the unit size (default 16 in × 8 in), and click Calculate. The calculator converts the wall dimensions to square feet, converts the block size to square feet (16 in × 8 in = 128 sq in ≈ 0.889 sq ft), divides the wall area by the block area and rounds up to the nearest whole block.
Worked example – Wall: 12 ft × 8 ft → 96 sq ft. Block: 16 in × 8 in → 0.889 sq ft. 96 ÷ 0.889 ≈ 108.0, so you need 108 blocks. The area result shows 96 sq ft.
